Welter, Giselle M. R. - In: Szondiana, 5. Jahrgang, pp. 142-148.
Zurique: Szondi-Institut, 2005.

According to the premise that the structure of the personality of an individual, as well as his/her professional inclination profile, is stable in time, this paper intends to present the process of choosing a profession in an adolescent female, along 7 years, from 14 to 21 years of age.

This study was made through three applications of BBT, with an interval of three years between them, resulting in the correlation between profiles of professional inclination and maturing process. The process is illustrated through the adolescent’s life experiences, professional and leisure choices, statements and letters.

Through this study it was verified that when she neglected her inclination profile, she was more frequently exposed to physical accidents and developed depression. This situation was reverted when she finally followed the drive needs identified with the BBT, and through an appropriate choice of profession, experienced as a moment of personal accomplishment.
